TSEL is one of the largest solar power projects in Bangladesh, contributing 20 MW of clean energy to the national grid.
Located in Teknaf, it was the first major initiative in Bangladesh’s journey towards renewable energy production.

Technaf Solartech Energy Limited is solar power generation company located in Teknaf, Bangladesh. It is a subsidiary of Joules Power Limited and is known for developing the first utility-scale solar power plant in Bangladesh.

The company plays a pivotal role in the renewable energy sector in the country and contributes to the government’s aim of increasing reliance on renewable energy sources making a positive contribution toward combating climate change.

“Best Bangladesh Deal” by Finance Asia Awards 2018, “Solar Power Project of the Year” by Asian Power Awards 2018. This project, developed in collaboration with PROINSO, was honored as the “Solar Power Project of the Year – Bangladesh.” The plant is notable for being the first large-scale solar power facility in Bangladesh, marking a crucial step towards the country’s target of producing 2 GW of solar power by 2021.
